Finding a Ship

Team 3 had its fair amount of hardships, but the ship it required was finally in sight. They were outside of a corridor on a large landing pad. The teammates: Central, Simon and his companion Flap, Wolf, Silver, Cree, and Yuma were standing place due to fear of booby traps.

“So, anyone else thinking this too convenient?” Cree asked. Everyone else nodded.

Simon was looking at a device of Flap's, “Well, Flap's scanners aren’t picking up anything, if that helps,” he stated.

“Yeah, but they might be that well-hidden,” Wolf replied as he eyed the area.

“We’ll need to investigate,” Central spoke as he, along with almost everyone else, turned his attention to Yuma.

Yuma looked slightly annoyed, “Well don’t everyone go all at once,” he said. He swerved over to the foot of the ship. Nothing happened. He tapped on it.

A hatch opened and a pathway onto the ship descended down. Yuma got on it, and upon entering the actual ship, set off a defense system. Several turrets revealed themselves and in response, he threw well-placed knives at them.

They were disabled, not nearly fast enough. Just before the knives hit, the turrets each fired a pink laser at Yuma, who screamed at the impact. In his place stood a voluptuous woman with long, straight hair, wearing a leather tube top, a medium-length leather skirt with a slit for showing off her right leg, and leather boots.

“Just great.”

“I’ll go ahead and turn off any other defenses they have, and fix those turrets,” Silver stated. He proceeded as he said he would.

Yes, I don't think that TG-beams are standard armament for most spacecraft . . .
